As part of Expo 2025 in Osaka, we have been asked by our friends of insglück to develop eight interactive installations for the pavilion of the State of Kuwait.
Immerse yourself in an immersive journey into Kuwait's rich heritage and its inspiring people-driven future.
On this highlight piecce, visitors become archaeologist and search for replica of treasures found in the desert of Kuwait. Gather around the sandtable and redesign the landscape. Dig into the sand and observe it virtually getting wetter. Discover the desertic ecosystem with a fauna aware of its surroundings. Will you reveal all the hidden secrets?
We created a bespoke software which recreates the deserts landscape and tracks users actions. Computed (calibration, denoising, tracking) and rendered in realtime using vvvv with VL.Fuse.
Explore Kuwait’s heritage through four interactive installations. Help animals find their habitats to populate the map of Kuwait. Discover the region through its wildlife. Listen to stories of nomadic desert life. Open lids to reveal ancient trade routes. Touch and smell historic goods. Turn the wheels of an oil well “Christmas tree” and trace the nation’s journey to prosperity through oil.
Experience Kuwait's culture and diversed community. Understand how the country empowers the lives of its people. Follow the rhythm and dance at the pace of Kuwaiti music. Mimic the steps of the instructors to stay synchronize.
Experience the Power and Poetry of Water
This interactive installation invites you to explore the vital force of water through playful physical engagement. Pump continuously to launch a virtual stone into the air — the stronger your input, the higher it soars. Feel the connection between effort and motion, pressure and release.
Control the flow of a digital water jet in real time. As you generate momentum, a wall begins to bloom, inviting butterflies to gather — a gentle reminder of water’s role in sustaining life and beauty.
Embark on an immersive journey through Kuwait's ambitious plan, Vision 2035. Gain insight into projects and infrastructures build in the country.
